Food is great. Old school diner great
Great old school dinner. Attentive, responsive staff, great food and reasonably priced. Worth a visit.
Excellent service, great food. Perfect for road trips. Prices are more than reasonable and the wait time for food is exceptionally low.
Hightstown Diner is a LEGIT NJ Diner. My first time there and as a born and raised NJ man, I have to say YES!!!!. Dont miss this Diner. 5 mins off NJTP and rt 1. Put it in your GPS. Excellent service and great prices. Thank you hightstown Diner!! We will be back!!!
Food was delicious. Server was very friendly and attentive. Love the hometown feel of the place!
This is a staple venue for my father and I to grab food together as the staff is always welcoming, the food is quick and delicious and the wait is never obnoxiously long. We quite enjoy the fried feta (I believe its the only place in the area that makes it), but their breakfast food is great. I normally prefer their french toast short stack, though their spinach and feta omelette is my comfort food.
Eggs benedict with corned beef hash is great. Also the pancakes with bananas and pecans yummy.
Out door seating was nice, first time I was at a restaurant since the quarantine began. Food was okay, typical diner lunch food.
I like this venue very much. It has a romantic ambiance. The kitcen is splendid. the service is effective and the team is courteous. The cost is modest. I definitely recommend.
Good food, came out in timely manner.
Stopped for a late breakfast and was not disappointed. Ordered blueberry pancakes and they were as good as any blueberry pancakes I've had in years. My grandson decided on a BLT and was not disappointed. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Would have rated 5 stars but on-site parking is limited.
My 1st time there. Food was good. Quick service. Price was reasonable. I will go back again.
Awesome Home town Dinner atmosphere, with great service and Tasty Breakfast
I've never been to a diner where my hamburger comes with a soup. That's just crazy. Also, the fries were proper good.
Great food, wonderful staff. It was my first experience there and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Service and food is the best around. Great variety and the servers where the best I have ever dealt with
Clean diner and good food.....what more could you ask for. Jake was our waiter, he was friendly and patient as we had 2 small kids. Honey dipped fried chicken could have used a touch more honey but was still AMAZING.
Food was pretty good. Definitely not small portions. What stunned me was restrooms. It looked like noone cleaned them since the place was established. It smell disgusting floor and surfaces need some serious scrubbing. We couldn't use it...I would give this place 4 stars but after I saw restrooms...its not fair to the staff, hire a damn housekeeper...
Great place to eat very reasonably priced and great food. Id highly suggest coming here!
Awesome food and service. Thank you
Great hometown diner, good food, great service. Recommend to anyone in town or coming through town
Excellent service, nice portions and budget friendly. Very charming place to eat
Amazing food & service. So glad we stopped in for lunch. Had the Hightstown Wrap & Texas Burger. YUMMY!
Cozy little piece of history. This 127 year old eatery serves up some delicious farethat comes in generous portions at low prices in a friendly atmosphere. Downtown Hightstown is a trip back in time and can be a bit of a tight fit for traffic, but I would recommend making the effort for a visit.
I never ate there before though I always pass by and it looks like its very accommodating
We found this place on our drive down to DC. We had a Hightstown omlette and apple raisin pancakes. It was all great!
Good diner. Nice retro decor.
Great outdoor space.
Great friendly staff, good food at a good price.
Just such a nice place. Food was reasonable and the gyro platter was amazing! I highly recommend it! Been coming here since I was a kid. Last time was 15 years ago before moving and going this past week was like nothing had changed in a good way!
Awesome food. Just wish the waiters wore gloves while serving food, during this pandemic. Nice dining outside.
Love this great Jersey Diner ! One of the reasons I enjoy this place so much is after Hurricane Sandy our home was without power along with 90% of Hightstown . The owners and staff managed to feed a standing room only restaurant with great delicious meals for days quickly and with a smile . Some of the waitresses said that they'd worked 16 hour shifts for days in a row to keep everything going smooth and keep customers happy . All the great options on the menu and what I consider some of the best burgers around will always make me a regular here !
My favorite place for breakfast. Classic American diner. If you want to experience the America go to this diner. Staff, food and coffee is gooood.
Friendly staff, the eggs and corned beef hash were perfect, and very good coffee.
From the moment you arrive in that restaurant team give you a nice feeling. Very courteous team, it is a good place to go out with buddies or with your date. delightful cooking, skillful chief cook and stuff, competitive price and courteous service. Highly recommended
Food's always good, the people that work there are top notch and friendly. It's a relaxed atmosphere where you can get to meet fun and interesting people. A definite go to for your hunger needs. 👍👍😎
Lived in the area for 18 years and passed it many times. Decided on a whim to visit the diner. Saw the triple D was here and raved about the corned beef hash so I had to try it. It was okay, nothing spectacular like Guy Fieri boasted but good. The other person had an egg whites omelette and said it was very good. The hash brown potatoes were excellent, browned properly on the griddle.
Great Diner experience. Had corned beef sandwich, matza ball soup, and corned beef hash.
Comfortable, good food and good prices.
love the food it’s great, but horrible service. overall good experience but the staff talks about there customers
Great take out.
Great dinner, service was really good! The food was really good and not expensive!
Good place to eat and affordable prices
One of my new regular diners. '50s diner-like atmosphere, friendly wait staff, wide menu selection, fair prices.
What a great day I had eatting here! The service was friendly and smiling. It was like an old school feel when you go to a place that knows you around the neighborhood. The corn beef hash is YUUUUMMMMMM!!!! Not greasy, not over cooked, get tastes of green peppers in it, the potatoes were fresh. It was a delight. Eggs were fluffy and fresh. The French Toast is more on the savory side. I'm a sweet French toast girl but it was still well cooked and such a good batter. I would happily bring my friends here to eat and chat. *Update: came back with a friend a few weeks later. All food was good but the corn beef hash tasted stale. Bummer. I guess you gotta get it early in the week.
This is the second time I ordered from this diner but because the delivery person/boss decided to ring the door bell and leave my food on the ground, I thought that was very inappropriate. Who wants food serve to them from the ground? In 10 seconds I was at the door, ready to tip and expecting my food to be handed to me and this character decides that it was smart to leave my food on the ground. Really? Plus we deal with ants where I live, so I was livid. And no this was not through grubhub. Have a great day.
Good service, everyone knows each other, very friendly. Typical diner food. Eggs done well.
Took my children there today for their first breakfast dining experience. They give it 5 stars!!! Food was "DELICIOUS" and it was not too busy. Chocolate Chip Pancakes were a hit! Friendly and inviting staff make this a "GO-TO" diner!! No need for all the flashy modern amenities that many "diners" have become! Good food and friendly atmosphere is all that's needed!!
Amazing staff and top notch food! The staff were super friendly and hospitable. The food was great. I had a Montecristo sandwich - the French toast was very fluffy and overall it had a perfect blend of salty and savory. Would recommend!
Food was good. Staff were nice. Nothing fancy. It's a historical spot and it was on a show so we went to check it out.
In same location since 1927 must be great and it is.
